The Salt Egg - Salt cellar (Saltægget - Saltkar).
The Salt egg is a registered Danish salt cellar made out of ash wood designed by Tonn-P. The drawings for the egg are nearly fifty years old, but due to problems with shaping, the egg was never put into production. Spring Copenhagen has now changed that.
?Sven Erik Tonn-Petersen (1925-2004) was a self-taught Danish designer and inventor who created a wide range of designs and products in wood, plastic and metal under the name of Tonn-P. Tonn-Ps creations were characterised by a confident expression and designed to be harmonious, functional and contemporary.
The Salt egg is an exceptional design piece and a very natural companion to Tonn-Ps The Pepper Bird.
